I am so excited about our new ADDICTION TELEMEDICINE Healthcare service now being offered out of Coastal Carolinas Integrated Medicine, under Dr. Ken Willeford's Medical Direction and Leadership.
This is the 1st of addiction teaching blogs to come so I will start the first blog with my heart for saving babies! I am an ex- NICU (neonatal ICU Nurse) and I was the one the OB's would hand the little lifeless baby over to during emergency C-sections. Yes, pregnant women all over the cities in America struggling with addiction and pregnancy would "use" and then go into labor and show up at the emergency department. If the infant survived this crises, they soon would face a larger crises later on of drug withdrawal and all the physical and mental symptoms. It's a memory you don't ever forget. I am so glad God has brought this opportunity around again in my life and this time......I might just be able to prevent the tragedy and save both lives at the same time!
We collaborate with the greatest of thinkers in the medical & mental health communities. We make it our mission to pursue political advocacy on The Hill and we speak for the most vulnerable of people; the sick. Join us in this fight to reclaim the family at Coastal Carolinas Integrated Medicine as we LAUNCH our new Addiction Medicine Service!
We have watched this epidemic get so out of control in our country and ruin families and communities. We want you to know we are here to help you and we will push-back against the people putting the drugs out on our streets. There is a need that is not being met in healthcare and that is the understanding of this critical & chronic disease process that can have Recovery if, the correct integrated care is implemented by qualified, licensed medical experts.
One of my personal goals as a social worker and a nurse is to help pregnant mothers successfully have a safe pregnancy and delivery a beautiful and healthy baby. On January 22, 2019 I met with international experts, clinicians, and researchers who deliver the latest research and information on novel, evidence-based addiction medicine topics! I'm excited to understand what is working and not working in communities around the globe.
The goals of seminar networking meetings is to review the current recommendations and currently known safety information about common drugs and pharmacotherapies for substance use disorders in context of breastfeeding. We discuss infant feeding strategies in context of drug use and breastfeeding.
I will be advocating and teaching my addicted pregnant & breastfeeding mothers everything I learn. There is a way to be in medical treatment for this disease and not hurt your baby. If you have an addiction problem or are suffering with substance abuse get in contact with us today and lets begin to coach you out of the death grip on your life.
If you would like to learn more about prevention and wellness to recover from chronic disease that may hinder your ability to fight your addiction or substance abuse disorder please check out some of the educational information at Dr. Carly Willeford's Ministry Website. Click Here
Wishing you much love & blessings,
